Who Is Salman Rushdie?
Salman Rushdie is a British-Indian novelist. The only son of a University of Cambridge-educated businessman and school teacher in Bombay, Rushdie studied history at King's College at the University of Cambridge.
Rushdie's novel, The Satanic Verses (), led to accusations of blasphemy against Islam, forcing him to go into hiding for several years.
