Kleerup's career as a producer, composer, songwriter and artist began in music as a songwriter, going on to tour with Teddybears and Robyn as a musician. In , Kleerup released "With Every Heartbeat" featuring Robyn, which peaked at number 23 on the Swedish Singles Chart. "With Every Heartbeat" achieved greater success outside Sweden, most notably in the United Kingdom, where it topped the UK Singles Chart in August and became the second single by Swedish artists to top the charts in Britain during the s decade after "Call on Me" by Eric Prydz in September and October The single peaked within on top ten of the charts in several other European countries, as well as peaking within the top 30 of the Billboard Hot in the United States.[citation needed]
