Mammootty is an Indian film actor who mainly concentrates on Malayalam film industry. His original name was Muhammed Kutty Ismail Panaparambil.

Mammootty was born on 7^th September in Chembu near Vaikom in Kottayam district of Kerala in a Muslim family. His parents are Ismail and Fatima.

He studied at Maharajas College at Kochi and law at Ernakulam Government Law College and practiced law for two years in Manjeri. He married Sulfath in the year and has one daughter Surumi and one son Dulquar Salman.

 

His debut film was Anubhavangal Paalichakal in which was directed by K. S. Sethumadhavan. He was a student at that time.

His second film was Kaalachakram in In both these films he appeared in only one scene.
